Isocyanate Exposure Medical

Isocyanates can have dangerous health consequences for employees when vapours, aerosols and mists are inhaled or in direct contact with the skin during work (e.g. spray painting, manufacturing, welding, foundry operations).
The health consequences of isocyanate exposure may include asthma, skin irritation and dermatitis, conjunctivitis, liver, kidney and chronic lung damage.
It is therefore paramount that potential candidates are screened and current employees have ongoing isocyanate exposure medicals to monitor their lung function, health and implement mechanisms to prevent employees from further isocyanate exposure.

- Demographic and occupational history
- General, specific and respiratory health questionnaire
- General health assessment
- Spirometry (Lung function assessment)
- Blood testing (MBA 20 + FBC)
