DR PETER LACKNER

BMBS,FRACGP, Grad. Dip. Sports Medicine

Dr Lackner is one of 4 principal partners at our Clinic, and a highly trained GP, with postgraduate qualifications in Sports Medicine.

Dr Lackner is dedicated to keeping you and your loved ones healthy, working safely, and delivering the high standard that Valewood Clinic is renowned for.

Dr Lackner is qualified in cosmetic injectables, and can administer anti-wrinkle injections.

Special Interests: Musculoskeletal Medicine, Injury Management, Skin Cancer Management, General Practice, and Aged Care.

Dr Lackner also speaks German.

DR EMMANUEL ANTHONY

Dr Emmanuel is an Australian trained doctor who is interested in all aspects of general practice with a specific interest in paediatrics.  After completing his medical training at the University of Western Australia, Emmanuel worked for six years as an  emergency medicine and critical care doctor. He has worked at the Alfred Emergency and Trauma Centre, the Monash Paediatric Emergency department and the Alfred Intensive Care unit.  He has also trained in obstetrics and gynaecology.

DR KATE MCCABE

Dr McCabe-Simon completed her medical studies at the University of Notre Dame in Western Australia. She has worked locally at Box Hill Hospital and Angliss Hospital with experience in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics,  Gynaecology and Paediatrics. She holds a Masters in Public Health and a Bachelor of Podiatry. Prior to her career in medicine she worked as a podiatrist in the management of diabetic foot complications and paediatric sports injuries. Dr McCabe-Simon has an interest in Women’s Health, Children’s Health, Low Carbohydrate Weight Management and General Medicine and is currently undertaking specialist family medicine training.”

DR MICHAEL KILEY

MBBS, FRACGP, Adv.Dip. Sports Medicine

Dr Kiley is one of 4 principal partners at Valewood Clinic, and consults at North Dandenong Clinic as well.

Dr Kiley runs a regular Skin Clinic, and is a Registrar Supervisor.

He is accredited to administer Yellow Fever, BCG, Q Fever Vaccinations, and Category 1, 2, and 3 Rail Medicals.

Special Interests: General Practice and Occupational Health, Travel Medicine, Skin Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment.

DR SANGEETA BANSAL

Dr Bansal completed her Medical degree at the University of Melbourne,andjoined Valewood Clinic in 2007, becoming the youngest-ever principal partner in 2009.

Special Interests: General Practice, Occupational Health, Women’s and Children’s Medicine, Aged Care, Mental Health, and Incontinence.

Dr Bansal also speaks Hindi and Punjabi fluently.

DR ARJ HERATH

BABSc, BMBS, FRACGP, Monash Cert. Occ. Health

Dr Herath is one of 4 principal partners at Valewood Clinic, and is an Australian-trained GP with a special interest in occupational health, aged care, LCHF and weight management, vein treatment, and general medicine.

Dr Herath completed a Bachelor of Science (Biology) Degree in the United States, before completing his postgraduate studies in Medicine and GP training in Melbourne. 

In addition to postgraduate training in Sclerotherapy and Occupational Health, Dr Herath is accredited for Category 1, 2, and 3 Rail Medicals.

Special Interests: Weigh Loss, Low Carb / High Fat Eating, Occupational Health, Chronic Disease Management, and Non-Surgical Vein Treatment.

Dr Herath is also conversant in Sinhalese.

DR LYN O’KEEFE

Dr Lyn O’Keefe has over 20years’ of General Practice experience, with a special interest in Women’s Health, Geriatrics and Psychiatry.  She has expertise in counseling techniques for management of depression and anxiety disorders.

 Special Interests: General Practice, Mental Health, Women’s Health, Geriatric Medicine, Occupational Health, Paediatrics, Aged Care, Mental Health Care.

DR JANE SONG

MBBS, FRACGP, PhD (Internal Medicine), Grad. Dip. Obs& Gynaecology

Dr Song graduated in 1982, and is a highly experienced General Practitioner.  Dr Song has acquired extensive postgraduate medical training, including a PhD in Internal Medicine, and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Song has a special interest in Women’s Health, Psychology, Aged Care, Children’s Health, and General Medicine.

She is highly trained for Insertion and removal of Implanon, and minor skin procedures.

Dr Song also speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr Stabelos was born and bred in Melbourne, and completed his degrees in Medicine and Surgery at The University of Sydney in 2005.  Dr Stabelos has also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic), a Graduate Diploma in Exercise & Sports Sciences and qualifications in Acupuncture and Laser Therapy.

Dr Rita Tuladhar joined our practice in 2010 after extensive professional experience in Melbourne, Canberra, Townsville and Ballarat.

She has a special interest in Children’s and Women’s health, internal medicine, mental health and aged care.

Dr Tuladhar is also fluent in Hindi, Nepali and Bengali.

  • Dr Chouhan did all his general surgical training in South Australia, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2013.
  • He then dedicated four additional years to sub-speciality training and research in Colorectal Surgery (at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Monash Health, Gold coast university hospital, Cleveland clinic in the U.S and then successfully completed robotic surgery fellowship at the Korea University Anam Hospital.

DR ALBERT YEAP

Diabetes Educator

Mr Albert Yeap, HMR accredited pharmacist and diabetes educator. Originally practicing as a pharmacist in rural Murray Bridge and Barossa region in SA for 6 years, and moved to Victoria 5 years ago with the aim to be part of an allied care team, and assist GPs and service patients with diabetes alongside other chronic conditions. During my years as a diabetes educator, I did my traineeship in the Alfreds Hospital, Bakers IDI with the team of endocrinologists. I am also based in Darwin three monthly to join the allied health team to look after this ever-growing condition. I am able to assist patients with Type 1,2 and GDM management and am able to support and review patients on a pump, continuous glucose monitoring and the flash monitoring device. I will be present in Valewood Clinic once a month on the second Saturdays of each month.

DR NAZANIN AMINI

Audiologist

Nazanin is the Principal Audiologist and founder of True Hearing. Nazanin is a full member of the Audiological Society of Australia and a member of the Australian Independent Audiologists in Private Practice. Nazanin completed her PhD degree in Biological Science and a Master’s degree in Clinical Audiology both from Melbourne University.

Nazanin founded True Hearing in 2012 with the philosophy to establish a partnership among practitioners, patients and their families to ensure that decisions respect patients’ wants, needs and preferences. Her approach to “encourage patients’ input and education on their own hearing health, and support them to make decisions and participate in their own care” is now well accepted and has been the essence in the growth of True Hearing.

DR NIVAE ANANDAGANESHAN

BSc & MD

Dr Nivae Anandaganeshan graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine (MD). He has worked rurally at Northeast Health Wangaratta before returning to work at Monash Health. He is interested in the variety of General Practice but has a specific interest in geriatrics, palliative care, women’s health and addiction medicine. Nivae is also conversant in Tamil and has a growing passion for refugee health and well-being. 

 

DR THOMAS VEITCH

Physiotherapist

Thomas is an experienced physiotherapist whose focus is on connecting with clients on a one-to-one basis. He has obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University. Thomas’ areas of interest lie in hydrotherapy and sports physiotherapy, which dovetails with his love of AFL and American basketball.

Thomas had been previously placed at Angliss Hospital as part of his university studies, and later at a private practice in South Yarra. In both instances, Thomas observed the assessment and treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions. He is hoping to further investigate this as a post-graduate field of study while teaching students and new university graduates.

KAYE COSHAM

Podiatrist.

Diploma of Applied Science ( Chiropody).

Member of the Australian Podiatry Association.

Kaye graduated from Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences in 1980 and has enjoyed a long career in podiatry since then. She has consulted at Valewood Clinic since 1993, and currently sees patients on Thursdays and Fridays. Kaye also offers domiciliary podiatry care in the Mulgrave/Wheelers Hill area. Her field of interest is general foot care for the older patient and Diabetic foot care. She will also see Veterans affairs patients and patients with a referral under the Medicare Enhanced Primary care plan.

DR ASHWIN UMAKANTHA SARMA

Dr Ashwin is an Australian trained doctor and completed his medical degree from Monash University in 2016. He has worked during internship and residency in a variety of disciplines at Monash Health, including emergency medicine, general medicine, nephrology and paediatrics. Dr Ashwin has a keen interest in all aspects of general practice. He can speak Tamil.
