Wave Brilliance (Continence Chair)
Urinary incontinence is the involuntary leakage of urine. There are a number of types of incontinences including:
- Stress – Leakage due to physical pressure on the bladder (commonly caused by coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercising)
- Urge – Leakage due to sudden and intense urges to urinate (commonly caused by overloaded senses and situations involving water, and other daily activities)
- Mixed – Leakage due to both physical pressure on the bladder and sudden and intense urges to urinate.
The Wave Brilliance, or pelvic floor chair, is a non-invasive, painless therapeutic chair that uses magnetic stimulation to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles control bladder and bowel function, and support the pelvic organs. By strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, leakages, urgency and accidents can be reduced or permanently stopped.
This therapy is fully clothed and takes 20 minutes per session.
