Introducing Prabha Mishra, a compassionate and dedicated registered psychologist (general) with a diverse background in both public and private practice. Prabha brings invaluable experience supporting adult clients facing mood disorders, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and eating disorders (in a limited capacity).
Thrilled to join the Valewood Clinic team, Prabha believes in the strength of help-seeking and values fostering a compassionate and understanding therapeutic environment. Proficient in evidence-based modalities like CBT, ACT, CPT, and CFT, she tailors her approach to each client’s needs.
Drawing from her rich life experience, including cultural adaptation and lessons from her own family, Prabha understands the complexities of human experiences. Currently, she also supports vulnerable clients at Monash Health’s Adult Mental Health Program, deepening her commitment to effective and compassionate care.
Additionally, Prabha collaborates with TAC and insurance claims, providing comprehensive support to clients navigating these processes. Understanding the importance of compassionate support for her clients, who may be going through long-term challenges while navigating the complex processes often involved in these claims, Prabha ensures they feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
